MAPS Charities 2017 Luncheon Honoree- Janet Morris of Bet Tzedek

This year, the MAPS Charities Community Service Award luncheon will be on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Skirball Cultural Center. We are very pleased to have as our honoree Janet R. Morris, Esq., who has spent the last 31 years as the Director of the Family Caregiver Project at Bet Tzedek Legal Services assisting elders and their caregivers with a variety of legal problems at no cost. In addition, Janet has served on numerous statewide committees and as a technical advisor to many projects concerning the legal rights of elderly and incapacitated individuals. As an elder law attorney, Janet has received many awards for her professional contributions in this area. Serving on the Public Policy Committee for Alzheimerís Greater Los Angeles, previously on the Board and Advocacy Committees, Janet has been the voice advocating on behalf of the Alzheimerís community.

Our Community Service Award is going to a most deserving honoree. Reading glasses, new beds, walkers, DWP bills, rent, shoes, dental work, wheelchair ramps, bicycle repair, respite care in the home, blood pressure cuffs, and food cardsñ these are just a few of the things that your support of our previous MAPS Charities Community Service Award luncheons provided to seniors in need throughout the greater Los Angeles County area. Your generous support of this yearís award luncheon will allow MAPS Charities to continue to provide necessities to seniors that many of us take for granted.
